Individual Members

NYSALB welcomes individual trustee memberships, of $10 per year. Benefits are the as organizational membership (including quarterly newsletter TRUSTEE, privileges at our Annual Trustee Institute, representation in Albany and much more). Membership dues are tax deductible, since NYSALB is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

Organizational Members

Most of NYSALB's members come through organizations (libraries and systems). When your library or system joins, all members of the board for the organization automatically become members. Benefits are also extended to your library’s director. If your board is currently not a member, please bring up membership in NYSALB as a consideration at your next board meeting. Dues are based on your library’s budget according to the schedule listed below.

Dues for Consolidated systems are based on the rate of of $1.00 per 1,000 population in the system area, as reported in the State report of the last completed year.  Maximum dues are $2,000.

Dues for all other libraries and library systems are based on operating disbursements of the previous year as reported to the State:

$1,000,001 to $3,000,000	$200
$3,000,001 to $5,000,000	$300

$7,000,001 and over	$500
