New Yorkers for Better Libraries
Several leaders of the library community have set up a political action committee, New Yorkers for better Libraries, to empower libraries in the political process. They are especially interested in having support from more trustees. For more information, visit their website at http://www.nylibs-pac.net

NYSALB Institute
Held each May, the Annual Institute hosted by NYSALB, gathers library enthusiasts from around the State of New York. This conference is for library trustees and directors. There are sessions for all levels of trustees with opportunities to gain valuable information on trustee roles and responsibilities. In an effort to accommodate the varying locations of participants, different cities host Institute each year. The rotations generally include areas around Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, and New York City. To learn more http://www.nysalb.org/institute/index.html
