BOARD OF DIRECTORS' MEETING

NYSALB Board of Directors Meeting

Holiday Inn, Liverpool, New York

2:00 - 5:00 PM

Directors Present: N. Jacknis, T. Thompson, E. Apostol, J. Sweet, D. Strauss, J. Hurley, G. Manitzas, S. Patton, B. Presutti, F. Picart, W. Taber and J. Taylor.  Association Manager Margaret Malicki was also present.

The meeting was called to order by President Norm Jacknis at 2:35 pm.

A motion to approve the minutes of the Annual Membership Meeting of May 1, 2004 was made by T. Thompson, seconded by D. Strauss; unanimous.

A motion to accept the Financial Report was made by D. Strauss, seconded by B. Taber; unanimous.

New Business:  The chair of the Nominating Committee, T. Thompson, presented the slate for election to the Board of Directors:

Lawrence Jorgensen, Farmingdale Public Library, for a first term
Francis Picart, Brentwood Public Library, for a second term
Karen (Schwengel) Achilles, Geneva Free Library for a first term
Nancy Simaitis, Waverly Free Library, for a third term
Suzanne T. Stockman, Fairport Public Library, for a first term

A motion to accept the slate and direct the secretary to cast a single ballot was made by T. Thompson, seconded by J. Hurley; unanimous.

A motion to adjourn at 2:45 pm. was made by G. Manitzas, seconded by B. Taber; unanimous.
